Hi Gurney's NRO Political Paradigm Group,

HOLD the DATE: Senator Flanagan is holding Town Hall Meetings. He was once a strong advocate for teachers, spoke at LIPC meetings, and even wrote a wonderful position letter on tenure. The steering committee will be discussing the possibility of getting our members to the Jan. 25 town hall, especially those living in his district. The room holds 80-100 people so we are not looking for a rally crowd but possibly 2 members from each of our locals. If we do proceed with attending, we want this to be a respectful showing with the right questions being asked. The steering committee will work together on the questions. The steering committee meets Jan 17. You will be notified ASAP regarding the outcome of our discussion. We just wanted to give you the date as soon as we became aware of it.

FYI...
In case you are not aware...the superintendent's association was advised by a PR firm to work directly with our local representatives and not run to Albany in regards to the Tax Cap. Many are doing just that now and trying hard to make our unified case against the Tax Cap.
